Terms of Service

This English text is a reference translation. In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version shall prevail.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using "A.Ink" (the "Service"), an AI manga creation platform provided by A.Ink (the "Company"). Registered users (the "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between Users and the Company concerning the use of the Service.

Article 2 (Registration)

Registration is completed when a prospective registrant agrees to these Terms, applies for registration by the method prescribed by the Company, and the Company approves the application.

Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)

Users shall, at their own responsibility, appropriately manage their User ID and password for the Service (or the management of the Google account, etc. used for authentication).

Article 4 (Rights and Responsibilities for AI-Generated Content)

[Attribution of Rights]
The copyright of images, stories, and any other content generated using the Service (the "Generated Content") shall, in principle, belong to the User who generated it. This excludes cases where the Generated Content infringes on the rights of others, such as when it is identical or similar to an existing copyrighted work and reliance on that work is recognized.

[Disclaimer]
Due to the nature of AI technology, Generated Content may coincidentally resemble an existing copyrighted work. Users shall use Generated Content at their own responsibility, and the Company shall bear no responsibility whatsoever in the event of a dispute with a third party regarding the use of Generated Content.

[Prohibition of Rights Infringement]
Users must not use the Service for the purpose of infringing on the copyrights, portrait rights, honor, privacy, or any other rights of others. In particular, intentionally generating and publishing content that closely resembles specific famous characters or real persons is prohibited.

Article 5 (Prohibited Matters)

In using the Service, Users must not engage in the following acts.

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts related to criminal activity
• Generating or posting content that includes sexual depictions of real persons, child pornography, cruel expressions, or hate speech
• Advertising, promotion, solicitation, or business activities on the Service that are not permitted by the Company
• Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Company's servers or network (including excessive concentration of access, scraping, etc.)
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the programs, data, etc. of the Service
• Other acts that the Company deems inappropriate

Article 6 (Paid Services and Payment)

[Subscription]
The Service provides monthly subscription plans (paid plans). By paying the fees set by the Company, Users may use the features and benefits of such plans.

[Credits (Points)]
Users may receive "Credits" necessary to use the Service's features (such as image generation) as a benefit of a paid plan, or purchase them separately.
Purchased Credits cannot, in principle, be refunded or exchanged for cash.
Credits may also have an expiration date, and Credits that pass their expiration date will be forfeited.

[Reader Payments (Coins, Unlimited Reading, Membership, Gifts)]
Users may purchase "Coins" used to unlock content and similar purposes. Coins constitute a prepaid payment instrument and are, in principle, non-refundable and non-exchangeable after purchase (except as required by the Payment Services Act). If an expiration date is set for Coins, it will be shown on the purchase screen, and unused Coins past their expiration date will be forfeited.
The Company also provides an auto-renewing monthly "Unlimited Reading Plan" and a "Membership" for supporting specific creators. These can be canceled at any time from My Page and remain usable until the end of the applicable period after cancellation, but no prorated refunds are provided.
Users may make optional "Gifts (tips)" to support creators. By their nature, Gifts cannot be refunded or canceled after confirmation.

[Creator Earnings and Payouts]
Creators may request payouts of their share of sales on the Service in accordance with conditions set by the Company, such as fees and the minimum payout amount. Withholding tax and other tax treatment shall follow applicable laws and the Company's rules, and amounts may be deducted from payments where necessary. The details of payout conditions shall be separately provided.

[Payment]
Payment of fees is made through a payment provider designated by the Company (such as PAY.JP). Users shall appropriately manage their payment information such as credit cards.

Due to the nature of digital content and services, once fees have been paid, no refund or cancellation is possible for any reason.

Article 7 (Suspension of the Service)

The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users due to maintenance or force majeure.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

The Company bears no responsibility for any transactions, communications, or disputes arising between a User and other Users or third parties in relation to the Service.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
